Requires school districts to be reimbursed for any actual expenses incurred when a student attends a Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) program

Amends Education Law section 3602 by adding new subdivision 14-a to establish this reimbursement requirement

Takes effect immediately if an appropriation to the education department has been made for this purpose

If no appropriation exists at enactment, the act takes effect 45 days after such appropriation is made

Division of the Budget must notify the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission regarding the appropriation status to maintain accurate records of when the law becomes effective
