Requires all employees of public and private employers in New York to notify their owner, supervisor, or manager within three hours of receiving a positive COVID-19 test result

Imposes the same three-hour notification requirement on independent contractors who must inform the contractor they provide services for

If the workplace is closed when the test result is received, notification must be given by 10:00 a.m. the next business day or within three hours of opening if the business opens after 10:00 a.m.

Failure to notify constitutes a misdemeanor and/or subjects the person to a civil fine of $1,000 per day until notification is given, with fines deposited into the disease management account

Exempts individuals who are physically incapable of providing the required notification after receiving a positive test result
