Adds new duties to the Office for New Americans requiring it to assist state agencies in preparing guidance for facilities and programs they oversee regarding interactions with federal immigration authorities

Guidance would address federal immigration authority inquiries seeking access to individuals residing or participating in state-overseen facilities and programs

Guidance would also cover requests for records or other information about individuals in such facilities or programs

Takes effect immediately, with provisions to coordinate timing with related legislation from 2024 (Chapter 625) if that law has not yet taken effect
