Establishes a 12-member State Board for Music Therapy appointed by the Board of Regents, consisting of 5 licensed professional music therapists, 5 licensed clinical music therapists, and 2 public members

Sets licensing fees at $175 for initial licensure and $170 for triennial registration, with a $70 fee for limited permits; requires 36 hours of continuing education every three years

Provides grandparenting provisions allowing current board-certified music therapists to obtain licensure without additional requirements, and creative arts therapists with music therapy degrees to qualify as licensed clinical music therapists

Licensed clinical music therapists may assess, evaluate, and treat mental, emotional, developmental, and behavioral disorders using music, while professional music therapists are prohibited from diagnosing physical, mental, or communication disorders
