Requires all physicians, physician assistants, and nurses to complete 2 hours of diversity, inclusion, and bias elimination training every two years to maintain their license in good standing

Training must be taught by instructors who are representative of the diversity of persons served by New York's health care system and have academic training or prior experience in diversity education for medical professionals

Mandatory curriculum includes instruction on implicit and explicit bias, equal access to medical care, cultural sensitivity, and actionable steps to recognize and address personal biases

Training must cover how implicit bias contributes to health care disparities along lines of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and socioeconomic status, including administration of implicit association tests

Requirements take effect one year after the act becomes law, with the act effective on the first of January following passage
