Mandates coverage for additional asthma equipment and supplies for children under 19 for use in school when prescribed by a physician or licensed health care provider

Requires coverage for asthma self-management education for patients and parents of children with asthma, including instruction on proper device use and environmental trigger avoidance

Expands Medicaid asthma self-management training services to include parents of diagnosed persons and adds education on device use and environmental triggers

Allows coverage to be subject to annual deductibles and coinsurance consistent with other policy benefits; takes effect January 1 following enactment
