Requires completion of an associate degree or higher in polysomnographic technology from a department-registered program or equivalent accredited program (ASTEP, STAR, or CAAHEP)

Allows alternative qualification pathways for registered polysomnographic technologists or certified/registered respiratory therapists in good standing with their respective national boards

Sets application fee at $300 for authorization and requires renewal registration every three years with a $300 fee

Takes effect 120 days after becoming law, with immediate authority granted to develop implementing regulations
