Authorizes the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County to discontinue approximately 1.02 acres of parkland (two parcels of 0.44 and 0.58 acres) near Bellport for construction of a stormwater runoff and recharge basin

Requires the town to dedicate an amount equal to or greater than the fair market value of the discontinued parklands toward acquiring new parklands and/or capital improvements to existing park and recreational facilities

Parcel I consists of Lots 55-64 in Block 508 at the intersection of Hoffman Avenue and Patchogue Avenue; Parcel II consists of Lots 25-32 in Block 508 at the intersection of Ecke Avenue and Patchogue Avenue

Prohibits alienation if federal funding was received for the parklands until the town complies with federal requirements, including obtaining approval from the Secretary of the Interior for equivalent land substitution

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
