Requires all public school districts, BOCES, charter schools, and nonpublic schools in New York to develop policies ensuring a dedicated room is available as a "calming space" for students

Calming spaces must accommodate activities including praying, meditating, and self-calming

Applies to New York City schools under the chancellor's authority as well as all other school districts statewide

Takes effect on July 1 following enactment, with authorization for immediate development of necessary rules and regulations for implementation
