Authorizes registered medical assistants to perform basic administrative tasks (filing records, billing, coding, processing referrals) and advanced clinical tasks (preparing and administering vaccinations/immunizations) under health care practitioner supervision

Limits use of the title "registered medical assistant" or "M.A.-R" to those registered with the department

Takes effect 90 days after becoming law, with authority for immediate rulemaking to implement the registration system
