Requires the Commissioner of Health to develop a standardized educational pamphlet explaining esophageal cancer symptoms, risk factors, detection methods, treatment options, and insurance coverage availability by January 1, 2026

Mandates health care providers discuss the pamphlet with patients who are at risk for esophageal cancer (including those with family history) or who have been diagnosed with the disease

Requires all individual health insurance policies providing hospital, surgical, or medical care to cover esophageal cancer screening and treatment when deemed necessary by a health care provider

Extends the same coverage mandate to group and blanket insurance policies delivered in New York State

Requires medical expense indemnity corporations, hospital service corporations, and health service corporations to provide coverage for esophageal cancer screening and treatment
