Adds a new ground for vacating arbitration awards in New York, allowing courts to overturn an award when the arbitrator "evidenced a manifest disregard of the law" in rendering the decision

Amends Section 7511 of the Civil Practice Law and Rules by adding subparagraph (v) to the existing list of reasons courts may vacate an arbitration award

Current law allows vacating awards for corruption, fraud, partiality, arbitrator misconduct, exceeding authority, or procedural failures; this bill adds manifest disregard of law as a fifth ground

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law
