Requires the Commissioner of Education to establish domestic violence awareness curriculum or instruction for school districts, developed in consultation with the Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, Office of Children and Family Services, and other appropriate agencies

Allows curriculum content to be varied to meet the needs of particular school districts and does not require uniformity throughout the state

Mandates that content be age-appropriate and developed according to the needs and abilities of students at successive grade levels

Permits schools to incorporate the materials as part of their health curriculum or in any other manner the school deems appropriate

Takes effect July 1, 2026
