Expands mandatory mental health coverage requirements to include group and individual policies under the Healthy New York program (section 4326 of the insurance law)

Requires insurers delivering policies that cover inpatient hospital care or physician services to also provide coverage for diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions

Applies the same mental health coverage mandate to medical expense indemnity corporations, hospital service corporations, and health service corporations participating in Healthy New York

Takes effect immediately upon passage
