Requires the New York State Police division to notify all child day care providers, centers, group family day care homes, family day care homes, and school aged child care homes of emergency situations occurring in their vicinity

Mandates local police departments at the county, city, and town level to provide the same emergency notifications to child care facilities in their jurisdictions

Emergency situations covered include school evacuations, lockdowns, and active shooter incidents occurring near child care facilities

Notification must be made via telephone call to a designated individual at each facility within 30 minutes of the emergency situation occurring

Child care facilities must provide their local police departments with the name and contact information of their designated person to receive emergency notices; takes effect 60 days after becoming law
