Requires the Department of Corrections commissioner to submit an annual report on incarcerated individual mortality investigations to legislative leaders by March 31, 2026, and each year thereafter

Annual reports must include cause and circumstances of death, age, sentence, time served, gender, race, ethnicity, offense, facility location, whether the individual was in specialized care or disciplinary confinement, and burial disposition

Reports must analyze trends and compare current mortality data to historical statistics

For deaths resulting from suicide or other causes, a preliminary report must be provided to legislators within seven days, including the individual's name, circumstances of death, investigation status, and whether others were injured or referred for prosecution

Takes effect 120 days after becoming law
