Adds image-guided breast biopsies to the list of breast cancer screening and diagnostic procedures that insurance policies must cover when recommended by a physician

Applies to individual health insurance policies (Section 3216), group health insurance policies (Section 3221), and health maintenance organization contracts (Section 4303)

Coverage requires procedures to be recommended by nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines, defined as evidence-based guidelines developed by independent organizations with transparent methodology and conflict of interest policies

Takes effect January 1, 2026, applying to all policies issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after that date
