Requires all New York school districts and charter schools to include instruction on the political, economic, and social contributions and lifeways of LGBTQIA+ people in middle school and high school curricula

Mandates schools adopt policies and procedures for selecting inclusive instructional materials that portray the cultural and economic diversity of society, including LGBTQIA+ contributions

Creates an 11-member task force to study and recommend best practices for implementing inclusive curriculum, with members appointed by the governor, legislative leaders, Board of Regents chancellor, and the education commissioner serving as chairperson

Task force appointments must be made within 120 days of the provision's effective date, with a final report due within one year after all appointments are completed

Takes effect on July 1 following enactment, with the task force provisions expiring and being repealed two years after that date
