Establishes the "Public Transit Safety Act" requiring transportation providers to give bus drivers a minimum 10-minute paid rest period for every 4-hour segment worked

Defines "bus" as any motor vehicle with seating capacity of 9 or more passengers plus the driver used for transporting persons

Applies to bus drivers employed by any transit agency, authority, or company (public or private) authorized by the state or its political subdivisions

Rest periods must allow drivers to utilize the nearest convenient restroom

Permits employers and employees to negotiate different rest period arrangements through collective bargaining agreements
