Requires the Commissioner of Education to establish a "career explorations" class combining academic and vocational education with work-based learning components including career workshops, guest speakers, internships or job shadowing, resume writing, mock interviews, and workplace etiquette training

Mandates the class be offered during spring semester of freshman year, with SAT preparation and post-secondary application components offered during fall semester of junior year in place of two elective classes

Implements a four-year phased rollout starting with cities of 1 million+ population in year one, then progressively smaller cities, until all New York school districts offer the course by year four

Requires the Department of Education to develop performance reporting systems measuring student, school, and employer participation in career awareness and work-based learning activities

Provides additional funding and training for implementing school districts, with funding derived from the Division of the Lottery
