Exempts positions required by state/federal law to check credit, law enforcement roles, positions requiring security clearance or bonding, and jobs with signatory authority over $10,000 or more in third-party funds

Exempts positions with access to trade secrets, intelligence information, national security information, or authority to modify digital security systems

Bars state and municipal agencies from using student loan payment credit history for licensing or permitting purposes, unless required by law

Preserves the ability of employers and agencies to obtain student loan credit information through lawful subpoenas, court orders, or law enforcement investigations
