Requires insurance companies regulated under Article 32 of the insurance law to issue joint checks for out-of-network health care services, payable to both the insured patient and the health care provider

Joint checks must list the insured's full name followed by "and" and then the name of the health care provider or group practice

Applies specifically to payments for out-of-network services rendered to insured individuals

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
