Children born to a gestational parent receiving Medicaid will automatically remain eligible for medical assistance for three years instead of one year, as long as they remain in the parent's household

Infants receiving medically necessary in-patient services will continue to be covered until the end of their hospital stay, even if they reach age three during treatment

Updates terminology in the social services law from "woman" to "person" and "gestational parent"

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with the Commissioner of Health directed to pursue federal funding participation and submit state plan amendments
