Allows families to recover additional damages in wrongful death lawsuits when the death involved the intentional and premeditated use of a deadly weapon as defined in Penal Law §10.00

Expands recoverable damages to include compensation for grief, anguish, and any disorder caused by such grief or anguish

Permits recovery for loss of love, society, protection, comfort, companionship, and consortium resulting from the death

Authorizes compensation for loss of nurture, guidance, counsel, advice, training, and education resulting from the death

Adds interest on the principal sum recovered from the date of the decedent's death to the total award
