Requires the Commissioner of Education to establish a first aid curriculum for high school students in grades 9-12

Mandates instruction covering recognizing shock, minor wound care, choking, minor burns, and CPR from an approved provider

Gives students the option to become CPR certified through the program

Allows schools flexibility in implementation: integrating into existing courses like health class, offering as an after-school elective, or other appropriate methods

Takes effect July 1st following enactment
