Requires general hospitals in New York to publicly post their institutional cost reports on their websites in a conspicuous location

Cost reports must be posted within 30 days of submission to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), regardless of whether reports are complete, incomplete, audited, or unaudited

Reports are due by the last day of the fifth month following the close of the reporting period, or 150 days after the cost reporting period ends for non-standard reporting periods

Failure to post cost reports constitutes a violation subject to daily penalties under Public Health Law section 12, with enhanced penalties for violations lasting more than one day (deemed continuing and repeat violations)

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
