Extends the Department of Environmental Conservation's authority to manage weakfish (Cynoscion regalis) from December 31, 2025 to December 31, 2028

Maintains DEC's regulatory powers over weakfish including size limits, catch and possession limits, open and closed seasons, closed areas, and restrictions on manner of taking and landing

Preserves DEC authority to establish permit requirements, recordkeeping rules, fishing effort and gear restrictions, and regulations on transportation, possession, and sale of weakfish

Requires that DEC regulations remain consistent with Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission fishery management plans and the Federal Fishery Conservation and Management Act

Introduced at the request of the Department of Environmental Conservation and takes effect immediately upon enactment
