Extends the expiration date of income and resource exemptions for public assistance programs from August 22, 2025 to August 22, 2027

Amends Section 16 of Part B of the Welfare Reform Act of 1997, which has been periodically renewed since its original November 1, 1997 effective date

Includes a retroactivity provision ensuring the law takes effect immediately and applies as of August 22, 2025, even if enacted after that date
