Applies to workers employed as of June 30, 2023, or thereafter, who were furloughed or became unemployed due to contract loss or service reductions directed by the Board of Education

Covers contracts awarded through both competitive bidding and request for proposals for K-12 student transportation services

Makes technical updates to replace gendered pronouns with gender-neutral language throughout the existing statute on school transportation contracts
