Authorizes Mackenzie M. Covert, a police officer with the Trumansburg Police Department appointed February 13, 2017, to transfer from her current retirement plan (section 375-i) to the special twenty-year retirement plan (section 384-d) after being enrolled in the wrong plan through no fault of her own

Requires the Village of Trumansburg to elect to assume the additional costs by filing a resolution with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date

Village must certify that the officer did not bar herself from the twenty-year plan participation due to her own negligence

All past service costs must be borne by the Village of Trumansburg, estimated at approximately $139,000 as a one-time payment plus roughly $10,000 in increased annual contributions starting fiscal year ending March 31, 2026

Takes effect immediately upon passage
