Amends Rule 3117 of the Civil Practice Law and Rules to add a new subdivision (e) clarifying the use of deposition testimony at trial

Prohibits courts from requiring litigants to obtain permission through a pretrial motion before using deposition testimony that is otherwise allowed under existing rules

Preserves litigants' right to introduce deposition testimony without additional procedural hurdles beyond those already established in Rule 3117

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
