Moves COVID-19 immunizations into the same category as influenza vaccines, allowing administration to patients two years of age or older (previously grouped with vaccines restricted to patients 18 and older)

Authorizes licensed physicians and certified nurse practitioners to prescribe patient-specific orders or non-patient-specific regimens to pharmacists for COVID-19 immunizations for patients aged 2 and up

Grants licensed pharmacists independent authority to prescribe and order patient-specific COVID-19 preventive medications for patients two years of age or older

Permits the Commissioner of Health to issue statewide non-patient-specific regimens during a COVID-19 outbreak or imminent threat of outbreak, similar to existing influenza outbreak protocols

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
