State employees eligible for group insurance under Civil Service Law section 159 would accrue sick leave at one day per biweekly payroll period

Maximum sick leave accrual would be set at 225 days for eligible employees

Employees who exhaust their sick leave accruals would become eligible for sick leave at half-pay

Half-pay sick leave is capped at one payroll period for each six months of completed state service

Takes effect on January 1 following enactment
