Raises the mandatory retirement age for New York City Fire Department uniformed force members from 65 to 67 years old

Members who have not completed 35 years of creditable city service by age 67 may continue serving until reaching that threshold, provided they can perform duties acceptable to the commissioner

Allows members who reach mandatory retirement age to request continuation of service for up to 2 years at a time with commissioner and board of estimate approval

Establishes an absolute maximum age of 75 for any continued service under the extension provisions

Applies the same retirement age increase to members who transferred their membership under section 13-145.1 of the administrative code
