Provides a disability pension equal to 75% of final average salary for qualifying members, compared to the current ordinary disability benefit of approximately 1/3 of final average salary

Assigns all past service costs associated with implementation to New York City, with estimated employer contribution increases of $43,000 per disability incident and $33,000 per death incident annually

Affects approximately 555 active NYCERS members with an average age of 46.9 years, average service of 14.2 years, and average salary of $83,400
