Former officers or employees of regional off-track betting corporations are prohibited from being appointed as board members, appearing before the corporation, or receiving compensation for services related to corporation matters for four years after leaving their position.

Former board members face a four-year ban on receiving compensation for lobbying activities or directly communicating with the corporation to influence board resolutions after their service ends.

Board members who have previously served are permanently barred from reappointment once their service terminates, regardless of the reason for termination.

Newly appointed board members cannot attend or participate in any board meetings, including executive sessions, until their license application has been approved by the commission.

The bill applies these restrictions uniformly to regional off-track betting corporations, the Capital District Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation, and the New York City Off-Track Betting Corporation.
