Commemorates the 75th Anniversary of Hartwick Fire Department Company No. 2 - Hartwick Seminary, celebrated on June 21, 2025

Department was founded on June 20, 1950, when 14 community members held their first official meeting after citizens from Hyde Park and Hartwick Seminary organized for local fire protection

Early operations relied on a trailer with basic equipment pulled by tractors, a 1940 Plymouth pickup truck, and volunteers summoned by church bells; a fire hall was constructed in 1958 on donated land

Current fleet includes a 1995 International tanker, 2000 Dodge Dakota brush truck, 2006 engine, and 2006 Chevy Tahoe

Directs that an engrossed copy of the resolution be transmitted to the fire department in recognition of 75 years of volunteer service to the Hartwick Seminary and Hyde Park communities
