Posthumously awards the New York State Senate Liberty Medal to John H. French, to be celebrated on July 28, 2025, at the Columbia County Honor a Veteran Ceremony in Hudson, New York

John H. French (1922-2009) enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 13, 1943, served as a Private First Class with the 872 Quartermaster Company in the European Theater, and participated in the Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns during World War II

Received military honors including the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, and World War II Victory Medal before his honorable discharge on November 25, 1945

After military service, worked as an Engineering Production Analyst for IBM in Kingston, New York, and actively served in community organizations including the American Legion, VFW, Mellenville Volunteer Fire Company, and Masonic Lodge

Resolution directs that an engrossed copy be transmitted to the French family in recognition of his service to country and community
