Requests Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim May 17-23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week in New York State, coinciding with National EMS Week

Recognizes the approximately 2.8 million emergency calls handled by EMS providers annually in New York State

Honors the more than 50,000 career and volunteer EMS providers who respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day throughout the state

Acknowledges the EMS system includes physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and medical volunteers who undergo specialized training

Directs that a copy of the resolution be transmitted to Governor Hochul
