Started his law enforcement career as a correctional officer at Dutchess County Jail in 2002, and was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and Dutchess Community College

Directs that an engrossed copy of the resolution be transmitted to his surviving family, including his son Nigel Barnett III and his parents
