New York State Senate resolution mourning the death of Charles "Chucky" Bernard McGuire of Montrose, New York, who died on October 8, 2025, at age 76

Served in the Vietnam War from 1969-1972 as an SP5 in the 36th Engineering Construction Battalion, receiving multiple decorations including the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and National Defense Service Medal

Volunteered with the Cortlandt Engine Company and Montrose Fire Department for 54 years, serving on the Board of Governors and as a trainer and mentor to new members

Named Firefighter of the Year multiple times and won awards for most calls attended; was particularly devoted to maintaining Engine 122

Survived by three children, two grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters, and extended family members
