Senate Resolution 1430 commends Doric Lodge No. 53 Men of Distinction for hosting its Annual Spring Gala on April 18, 2026

Doric Lodge No. 53 was founded July 3, 1916 as a Masonic club and received its warrant under the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York on October 1, 1921

The Lodge purchased its permanent home at 95 Westbury Boulevard in Hempstead, New York on January 21, 1975 under Worshipful Master Emurray Clopton

The Lodge currently operates under the leadership of Worshipful Master Walter Whaley and has served the community for over a century through charitable works and civic engagement

The resolution directs that an engrossed copy be transmitted to the Lodge leadership in recognition of its history and contributions
