Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Aiden Lockwood, age 16, is honored for receiving the General Ira C. Eaker Award from the Civil Air Patrol, to be presented January 24, 2026, at South New Berlin Fire Department

The General Ira C. Eaker Award is the Civil Air Patrol's second most prestigious award, earned by only 2% of cadets nationwide, recognizing excellence in leadership, character, fitness, and Aerospace Education

Lockwood joined the Civil Air Patrol at age 12 and over four years earned level 1 ground team certification, wilderness first aid certification, and served as flight Sergeant and flight Commander at encampments

He has received multiple honors including Cadet and Cadet NCO of the Year Awards from the VFW, AFA, and AFSA, plus CAP achievement and Commander's Awards

Outside CAP, Lockwood is an honor student, Junior Class President, multi-sport varsity athlete, percussionist, student council member, and Cadet Commander of NER-NY-189
