Tony Kostecki is being recognized as a 2025 Trailblazer in Arts & Culture honoree by City & State NY magazine for his contributions to New York's arts sector

Kostecki serves as General Director of Seagle Festival (formerly Seagle Music Colony), the oldest opera training program in the United States, founded in 1915

Since his appointment as General Director in January 2008, Kostecki expanded the organization from a summer-only program to a year-round presence in the regional arts scene

Prior experience includes serving as Director of Education for Fort Worth Opera Studio (2002-2007) and work as pianist/coach for Florida Grand Opera, Shreveport Opera, and Utah Opera

Kostecki holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Benedictine College and a Master of Music in Piano Accompanying and Organ Performance from the University of Kansas
