Village of East Williston, New York celebrates its 100th anniversary on April 5, 2026, having been incorporated in 1926

The area's history dates to the 17th century, with the first recorded use of "The North Side" appearing in a deed from January 19, 1663; the name "East Williston" was adopted in 1879

Located at the geographic center of Nassau County, the village originally covered almost four square miles, extending from Jericho Turnpike to I.U. Willets Road and from Herricks Road to Bacon Road

Centennial celebrations will include special presentations, guided walking tours, community-wide events, and publication of a new book documenting the village's history

The New York State Senate directs that an engrossed copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Town of East Williston
