Sherly Demosthenes-Atkinson is being honored as the first female President and CEO of CABS Health Network, with her installation ceremony taking place on January 31, 2026

She was appointed CEO of CABS Home Attendants Service, Inc. in 2017 and holds a Master of Health Administration from Hofstra University

Under her leadership, CABS secured a contract with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), contributed to the NYS Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, and launched the CABS Care Management Agency

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she expanded services throughout New York City and Long Island and led the organization's rebranding to CABS Health Network

She was appointed to the Dean's Advisory Board of Hofstra University's School of Health Professions and Human Services in 2021 and advocates for aging in place and community-based care for elderly and disabled New Yorkers
