Brian Bellair is retiring after 26 years of service to the Whitesboro Central School District, having served as principal at Marcy Elementary School (2000), director of special programs (2005), and superintendent of schools (2016-present)

His total career in education spans 35 years, and he holds a doctorate in education policy and leadership from SUNY Albany along with degrees from SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oswego, SUNY IT, and Mohawk Valley Community College

Named New York State Outstanding Educator of the Year in 2011 by the School Administrators Association and received the 2019-2020 Professional of the Year Award from the NYS Association for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance

Recognized for his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, balancing safety and education throughout its duration
