Served in the U.S. Army from November 13, 1952 to November 12, 1954, reaching the rank of Technical Sergeant with Company E, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division during the Korean War

Fought in the Third Korean Winter campaign at the Battles of Pork Chop Hill and Old Baldy, earning the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and other decorations

Worked 37 years at International Paper Company in Corinth, NY, served as UPIU union officer for 22 years, and held community roles including town assessor, assistant fire chief of Edinburg Fire Department, and Little League coach

Born October 20, 1932, in Edinburg, NY; married wife Valerie for 67 years with four sons; died February 15, 2024, at age 91; honored at the Saratoga County Honor a Veteran Ceremony on February 19, 2026
