The Order of Cyrene was founded in 1884 in Philadelphia by John Elzy, Sr., John Elzy, Jr., and Isaac L.W. Holland as an auxiliary to the Knights Templar, composed of wives, widows, mothers, sisters, and daughters of Temp Sir members

The New York branch originated from the Helping Hand Auxiliary formed in 1881, later formally established as the Most Royal Prince Hall Grand Court, Order of Cyrene of New York in 1918

The Prince Hall Grand Commandery, Knights Templar of New York officially adopted the Order of Cyrene as its auxiliary in 1948

Current leadership includes Royal Commandress Tobi King Cooper and Royal Chief Engineer Malcolm Douglas, who will receive engrossed copies of the resolution
