Charles Jettmar of Scouts BSA Troop 71 in Plandome, New York received the rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony on March 22, 2026, at the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department

For his Eagle Scout service project, he partnered with Manhasset Public Library to improve parking lot landscaping by removing invasive plants and replacing them with native species, working with approximately two dozen fellow Scouts and family members

Joined Troop 71 in 2020 after earning the Arrow of Light Award in Cub Scout Pack 101; served as Patrol Leader for most of his Scouting career and later as Instructor

Currently a junior at Manhasset High School enrolled in three AP classes, member of Math, Science, Tri-M Music, and National Honor Societies, and plays on the Varsity Baseball Team

Has volunteered with Manhasset Public Library for four years transferring donated books to the train station for commuters
